Explorer Programme
Soak up the surroundings and expore the incredible diversity of ecosystems and activities on the Humphrey Head peninsula- scramble around the seacliffs, hike over the limestone pavement finding flora and fauna, dig into the mudflats to see what’s hiding beneath, and cultivate your stone age survival skills with activities such as firelighting, foraging, and archery in our beautiful centre grounds.
3 days is the perfect length of time to get a deep sense of place, and explore the many different aspects of Morecambe Bay and Humphrey Head, with sessions blending history, geography, art, design, physical education, and more, all with a focus on student-led experiential learning and community development.
Below is an example programme and price list for a 3-day, 2-night Explorer programme- you could also swap in any of the activities listed on our “Adventure Activities” page, or request specific sessions based around your groups goals and interests, skills you’d like them to develop, or particular curriculum areas such as “Art”, “History”, “Geography”, “Ecology” or “Creative Writing” .
