Mere Mountains

Humphrey Head Outdoor Education Centre is run by Mere Mountains, a family-run business who have been delivering Outdoor Education and Training for over 25 years. Our permanent staff team is made up of local teachers and outdoor educators. 

We believe that the most responsible and rewarding way to run a business is through providing specially tailored courses that meet people’s needs, operating sensitively and sustainably in the local environment, and providing long term support for the local economy. 
We work with a wide range of organisations to deliver courses, and use our extensive local knowledge and outdoor leadership experience, to ensure that our groups have a unique and memorable experience.

Protecting the natural environment, and raising awareness about the ways people can impact it, is core to our business ethos, and we ensure all our sessions follow the principles of “Leave No Trace”, through careful choice of location, equipment, and activity, and teaching our groups how to minimuse their impact on wild spaces.
